From early childhood, the author, Colleen Rodriguez, grew fond of storytelling as she was warmed and delighted by the bedtime stories told to her by her parents. Those secure, bonding times were the inspiration behind the creation of Laughing Eagle, a book begun over 30 years ago. Colleen and her husband have three daughters and two sons, and she is thrilled to team up with their oldest, Lizzy Rodriguez, as the illustrator of this book.
